There were 2 variables in this study i.e the independent variable and the dependent variable. Independent variables are mind mapping learning models and dependent variables are cognitive learning outcomes of students. The population in this study were all of 8th grade students in SMP Negeri 1 Seteluk. The research samples in this study were Class VIII A and VIII B. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. This is a quasy experiment study with pretest-postest control group design.
