Abstract

Medicinal plants are plants whose body parts such as roots, leaves, stems, tuber skin, fruit, seeds and sap have medicinal properties and can be used as medicine. Raw materials in the manufacture of modern and traditional medicines.This research is purposeful to find out the types of plants used as traditional medicine in Karang Medain Village and to find out how to use medicinal plants by the Medain Coral Community. This type of research is qualitative descriptive with observation techniques/methods, semi structured interviews. The results of the study there are 49 species of medicinal plants that are used by the community. and there are 31 types of medicinal plants in the Medain Coral Environment.There are 8 ways of managing medicinal plants commonly used by the community, including: boiled and mashed. Parts of plant parts that can be used as medicine, namely: leaves, fruits and rhizomes, roots, seeds, stems, and tubers.
